Ah but you see the point of this article was ironic misspellings. While some of these are not very ironic the ones that i think this article was written specifically about were the signs protesting the Spanish language becoming prolific in America and the idea of making English the official language. It is ironic that the people wanting English to be the national language misspell words in their own language.

Good ol' GW ruining peoples lives by deploying them... I don't support the war, but honestly, if you enlist in the military what do you think it's for - wearing camo and going to the firing range? If you enlist, you have the possibility of getting deployed. I respect anyone and everyone in the military, but they knew what they were getting into when they signed the dotted line. Furthermore, Mr. Obama has yet to end the war. In fact, he has deployed more service people there, so really, who's ruining whose lives. Get real. I'd like to see a liberal who has taken an economics class in their entire life and still supports some of the legislation being currently forced through - the only liberals in any of my economics classes in college needed my tutoring. No irony in the fact that most of these comments contain egregious misspellings DESPITE the fact that there is automatic spell check in the comment box field? Do they think the little red squiggly lines are... what? Decoration? I have to assume one of two things: Either A.) the notion of literacy as a universal good and cultural necessity is a fallacy and some people simply weren't designed to be terribly interested in the perfection of small symbols on a two-dimensional field. In which case, let's all just let it the fuck go and let people do what they are good at. Or B.) the government has been purposely fucking up the educational system in an attempt to make Americans more stupid and therefore easier to control. I am leaning heavily towards option B.

Liberals usually don't protest telling people to learn to speak English. I don't think it's funny to make fun of anyone's lack of spelling ability (or unnoticed typos, which some of these probably are), but it's pretty ironic when you have someone criticizing another group of people for not speaking English and referring to them as "morans".

Also, their spelling mistakes are less likely to be ironic because of the issues they are protesting. Although I don't completely buy Sam's eplanation, because quite a few of these weren't really ironic at all, which makes me think he could have added in some liberal signs. I think subconsciously he knew these were the same people who would protest the use of foreign languages in English-speaking countries, making their own struggles with it ironic.
